Hesham Helal is the secretary general of the International Association of Institutes of Navigation (IAIN), the president of Arab Institute of Navigation (AIN), Dean of the School of Maritime Graduate of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and a senior captain. He was the general manager of MOSHARKA Logistics Company in Sudan and the general manager of Shahin Elghanem Shipping Company in Kuwait. He has published 4 books and 31 papers.
