John Pottle is the executive president of the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN). He served as the immediate past-president of the International Association of Institutes of Navigation (IAIN), the marketing director of Spiren Communications Limited and the business development director of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) in the United States. His research mainly focuses on the performance and resilience of positioning, navigation, timing and critical infrastructure systems.
